How to create a virtual machine (EC2) on Mac

Step One

1. Create an amazon (aws) account and ensure it is verified ( connect your account details to it). A dollar will be deducted from the account to verify the account.
2. On your Mac , download 'Microsoft Remote Desktop' from your app store (Note: It's free)

Step Two

• Log into your amazon account and search for ec2

• Next, you launch an instance -Next, you put the name of the instance , I'll name mine Demo

• Create a key-pair which we will be needing later -Next -Next -Next -Click on view all instances Note: it takes 4 minutes for the instance to pass all required test. so you're going to have to wait for the status check to change to 2/2 checks passed. Meanwhile you can reload the instance page by clicking on the reload button right beside the connect button

-Next -Next, remember we downloaded a .pem file, upload it from your download folder -Next

• Click on the .rdp file downloaded on your system, mine is Demo.rdp , copy the password and fill it in
